Los Angeles, August 23, 2025 — In a disturbing turn of events at the Knokx Pro Wrestling show, Raja Jackson, son of UFC legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, launched a brutal and unscripted assault on independent wrestler Stuart Smith, known professionally as Syko Stu. The incident, streamed live on Kick, has triggered widespread backlash and raised serious questions about safety protocols in live entertainment events.
What Happened in the Ring
During the LA Throwdown event, Raja—who was not scheduled to wrestle—entered the ring and violently attacked Syko Stu. The 25-year-old MMA-trained Jackson lifted Stu overhead and slammed him to the mat before unleashing over 20 punches to his face while Stu lay motionless. Other performers rushed in to restrain Raja, but the damage was already done.

The Backstory
Earlier that day, Syko Stu had smashed a beer can over Raja’s head in what was believed to be part of a staged segment. Stu reportedly apologized after learning Raja wasn’t part of the show, and staff allowed Raja to enter the ring for a “payback” moment. However, Raja took things far beyond expectations, resulting in a real-life beatdown that left Stu hospitalized

Syko Stu’s Condition
Initial rumors falsely claimed that Syko Stu had died in the ring. Rampage Jackson quickly dispelled these, confirming that Stu was “awake and stable” but had suffered serious injuries4. Stu, a U.S. Army veteran, has not yet spoken publicly, and his long-term condition remains unclear

Rampage Jackson’s Response
Rampage issued a heartfelt public apology, stating:
“Raja is an MMA fighter, not a professional wrestler, and had no business being in the ring. I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL.” He revealed that Raja had suffered a concussion days earlier and should not have participated in any physical activity

Legal Fallout
Legal experts suggest Raja could face criminal charges for assault and battery, as well as civil lawsuits for damages. Kick has already banned Raja from its platform following the incident
